Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the alleged assassination attempt on Ekiti APC Guber candidate, Kayode Fayemi by a mobile police officer attached to an APC member contesting for House of Reps.
It will be recalled that on Friday, the mobile police officer mishandled his gun, releasing bullets sporadically in the process. The bullet hit two APC members who are currently in hospital.
Reacting to the development, Current governor of the state and PDP chieftain, Ayodele Fayose tweeted;
“Fayemi is having in all these challenges because of his desperation. It is instructive that there was chaos at the APC primary election and his return to Ekiti today brought bloodshed to a once peaceful Ekiti State. Those whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad.
I sympathize with victims of today’s shootings by armed policemen that Fayemi and his APC invaded our State with and I have directed adequate treatment of the injured ones that are receiving treatment at the State University Teaching Hospital.”
