Caiphus Semenya A Fan of “Caiphus Song”, Encourages Young Musicians to Embrace Classic Songs

Legendary musician Caiphus Semenya has reacted to AKA’s 2017 hit Caiphus Song. “I’m all for it,” he said regarding AKA’s sampling his classic record Matswale.

Caiphus also encouraged young musicians to take cues from older songs like AKA did. He added, “It’s not only my music that I want young people to embrace, but people like Hugh Masekela and Jonas Gwangwa are among the kind of musicians who’ve made timeless music. When done properly, the young people can do amazing things with the music left for them,”
