After five years of marriage US superstar Janet Jackson has confirmed that she and her husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam al-Mana have separated.
The singing sensation spoke to her millions of fans from across the globe through an impromptu social media video.
“This message was supposed to be about something else, but I’ll get to that in a minute. I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands,” she said.
Janet also joked about putting on a few extra kilos after giving birth to their son Eissa in January.
She also spoke about their bundle of joy being happy and healthy. “But I thank God, I thank God for him, you guys. He is so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby,” she added.
Towards the end of the video Janet confirmed that she would be back on tour in a few months time.
