Jacob Zuma donated only R450 to help Knysna fire victims

President Jacob Zuma who described the Knysna fire as “worst disaster I have ever experienced” donated only R450 to help the victims of the disaster.

When Zuma announced his personal donation people were happy as they obviously thought he meant R450 000. The head of the relief fund later announced and thanked the president for the R450 cheque.

Jacob Zuma had visited Knysna, Standing on a hill in Knysna Heights on today‚ President Jacob Zuma described the scene that confronted him as the worst disaster he have ever experienced.

From there he was accompanied to the devastated White Location by Western Cape Premier Helen Zille‚ DA provincial leader Bonginkosi Madikizela‚ cooperative governance minister Des van Rooyen and other officials.

Zuma said he says he’s relieved the loss of life has been minimal given how vicious the fires were. Seven people died and hundreds of homes have been destroyed.
