GIST: I May Not Be Able to Have Kids Again – Cici

R&B singer Cici details how ex-boyfriend Arthur Mafokate allegedly choked, dragged her down stairs when they first started dating last year.

In the first incident, Cici, real name Busisiwe Thwala, fought with Mafokate over his cellphone and the way he was ‘interacting’ with it.

She told Sunday World that after Mafokate refused to show her his phone, they got into a physical altercation that saw her sustain injuries to her vagina after he choked her.

“The only time he stopped choking me was when I started bleeding from my private part. I was feeling very weak at the time. He went out and just left me there on the floor,” she said.

Cici says she left their Midrand home and flew back to her parents’ house in Durban. Mafokate called her shortly thereafter and apologised.

This was the beginning of her ordeal as she says she was emotionally abused by Mafokate. He would call to check up on her if she went out with friends and didn’t pay her royalties from her album.

In the second incident, Cici says she may now never be able to have children after her pelvic bones were allegedly shattered in a fight with Mafokate. According to the singer, Mafokate threatened to kill himself if she followed through with leaving him. She was also told by the doctor that her pelvic bones were weak and she may never be able to have children as a result of the injury.

Both Mafokate and Cici have opened charges of assault against each other and will appear in court on August 7.
