Thank you very much, my names are Chief Kevin Mmaduabuchi Onyema (JP), Ichie Chinaemeze, Ezechidobere I of Umuona. I am an entrepreneur, a manufacturer to be precise. I am also a farmer and also into several other ventures. I was the Publicity Secretary of all Nigerians resident in China from 1999-2003. I did my secondary school at Community High School Aguluzoigbo. I also attended Lagos state Polytechnic and Hongkong Open University. growth of my business and my studies in higher educations went simultaneously.

Why do you want to represent Aguata II Constituency at the state House of Assembly?

The person that is representing us, at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Ikem Uzoezie, has performed well and we need somebody that will consolidate on his performance, and take Aguata II Constituency, to the next level in terms of quality representation and more constituency projects. I think, what Aguata II Constituency needs is a bold, vibrant and articulate representative that can stand his ground on his own on issues, and welfare of our constituency. After my self examination, I believe, I have all it takes to fill this vacuum, having achieved success in other areas. I believe it is high time I seek a platform to serve my people, and leave a good legacy. I want also to make an impact in my Local Government and State, having already been well known in my town Umuona.

Sir, considering the fact that in this game, it is survival of the fittest, given the fact that about 12 aspirants have declared their intention, to contest for the House of Assembly, under Aguata II Constituency, under the platform APGA, what is your track records in community development and what actually is your competitive edge?

I have been contributing my own quota, though it is not in my character to blow my trumpet but in this present circumstances, I think, I will be forced to do so a little. As an Industrialist, I have provided empowerment and employments to thousands people through my business establishments. I have sponsored many graduates through universities and still have hundreds of students from different towns in my scholarship list. I have done so many youths empowerment programs, where youths were trained in hair dressing and other skills and those that performed very well, were given machines and capital to start off. I have built and renovated several infrastructures in my community.

Sir, finally, what is your position, on Local Government autonomy bill, which according to the Anambra State House of Assembly will be given a public hearing soonest.

In order to bring the dividends of democracy down to the people at the grassroots, I believe that every right thinking Nigerian should support the local government autonomy. I am of the opinion, that the State House of Assembly should expedite action on the public hearing debate. If there is full autonomy, to the local government, the third tier of the government, will witness massive infrastructural development, as in the case in Aguata local government, during the Engr. Goody Osele Administration. There is no way, we can claim to practice true democracy, if it is not grass rooted to the 3rd tier of government.
