Critics Of The Vienna Congres

Following the decline of Napoleon to Elba in 1815. France, Prussia and Russia etc came together to foem a coalition party which basic aim was trying to amend what Napoleon war destroyed and also punish France without destroying the balance of power.

To do that, series of measure were adopted which was the Vienna Congress of 1815 (June 9, 1815).

However, Vienna authors critized the congress for settling the problem of Europe without regard to liberty, freedom and self determination.

This can be explained right from the focus of the congress. They were focused on the peace settlement alone thereby not regarding the liberty and civil rights of European.
