NAIJA GIST: Nigerian Producer Calls Out Davido, Dammy Krane For Stealing Pere Beat

The song, ‘Pere’ is one of the many musical offerings of ace afro-pop artiste, Davido. The song has so far recorded reasonable success, especially because of the international factor it carries as a result of the input of foreign artistes like Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug, to the song.

In fact, it is considered one of the top songs from the young rich artiste, this year and the singer publicly acknowledged and credited his friend and colleague, Dammy Krane for ‘co-writing’ the hook of the song with him.

However, previously unexpected controversy about the origin of the song has now risen from an unlikely source. A producer named, HOD claims to have produced the original version of the Pere song for Dammy Krane in 2015 and he aims at taking official credit for making the beat, as against DJ Mustard who is widely believed to be the brain behind the production of the song.

Using social media as a platform, the accuser has called out the principal parties involved in the process of commercialization of the song including Dammy Krane, Davido and Sony Music. He advanced to back his accusation with proof.
