CAPE02 TIPS: How To Let Offense Go

It is especially difficult to obtain justice in the modern world. On the other hand, what will you get if you respond the same to your offender? Doing the same harm is not a noble thing, learn to forgive, instead. For this, follow these 5 steps and get rid of all negative emotions.

Step 1 – Realize

Realize that the negative emotions steal energy from you and the time you could spend on creating something amazing. Besides, offenses and negative thoughts can bring you numerous physical and emotional problems, such as depression and hypertonia. Do you really need this?

Step 2 – Write

Just take a piece of paper and a pen and write down everything that you feel.Describe all your emotions in bright colors and try to decide what color prevails. After you finish, take the paper and do to it whatever you want. You can burn it, cut into thousand of pieces or bury in your yard. Keep doing it until you feel relieved. Only after that, you can proceed to the step No.3.

Step 3 – Get into their shoes

Now it is much easier to get into your offender’s shoes. Imagine what guided them at that unpleasant moment and try to find excuses for them. Try also to understand the motives and reasons why they did this way and not another one. Try to understand and forgive your offender. No one of human beings is perfect, and so aren’t you.

Step 4 – Change your attitude towards them

Think, you’ve gotten offended, you feel unpleasant, hard, but it already happened. And you can’t turn back the clock. All you have left is your present and future that you can change. It’s you call – whether to keep the offense in your heart or let it go.Imagine if you will keep your offense in 5, 10, 15 years? Of course, not. Most probably, you will forget about it at all. So why not do it right away?

Step 5 – Find what’s positive

Think what positive can you take out of the situation. Almost every negative situation can be turned to the other direction. “If life gives you a lemon, make a lemon juice”. Apply this expression to your situation. Try to take it as experience to learn forgiveness. And see how much you’ve grown in your own eyes. Let it all go for the sake of your own happiness and peace.
