After a long time Ernieola Olusoga returns with a brand new sound in this song titled ‘Tribute’.
“Tribute is an acknowledgement of Gratitude to God from where He picked me from (Past), where I am (Present) and where He is taking me to (Future) which is settled.
A Song of Thanksgiving for the Finished works of God in my Life (Family, Ministry, Career,etc)”
It’s a cover of old songs by fathers & mothers of root local Nigerian folk music (its also a means of paying tribute to them) that are still relevant, still trending, still blessing lives and still entertaining the world.
Sharing on the new single, Ernieola said
“Its a song inspired by God through my biological Father (Mr Muyiwa Olusoga), seconded by Mr Bola Mogaji.
I grew up listening to Evang.Ebenezer Obey, KSA, etc. My Dad had always told me to do a cover/medley of old songs, I would just wave it or just nod my head (smiles) until Mr Bola Mogaji proposed the same idea right at WOMP studios (where we cooked all the Music).
So I inquired of God and I got the go ahead, and the specific selection of Songs (because I listen to whole lot of them).”
The Maestro of music and one of Africa’s multi award winning producers, Wole Oni produced this song and the creative Oluyinka Davids of iFocus Pictures directed and shot the video.
ERNIEOLA’s EP is in the works and will be released before the end of the year 2017.
