Vanderbijlpark – An 18-month-old child drowned in a swimming pool in a residential complex in Vanderbijlpark on Tuesday afternoon, paramedics said.
When paramedics arrived on scene they found the grandmother performing CPR on the child, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
Paramedics initiated advanced life support interventions.
After an hour, the child still showed no signs of life and was declared dead.
Additional information surrounding the incident was not immediately known.
